Forskningschef Geir Linløkken på Investtech tillfrågades av Finansavisen om sin favoritindikator. Vilken indikator eller verktyg är i en klass för sig, som du skulle valt om du bara skulle använda ett verktyg?

Det var enkelt: Min favoritindikator är Trend!

Trend är den klart viktigaste indikatorn i aktiemarknaden. Stigande trender indikerar att bolaget eller marknaden är inne i en positiv utveckling och att köpintresset bland investerarna är ökande.

Investtech har arbetat med kvantitativ och teknisk aktieanalys sedan 1998. Trendanalys har hela tiden varit centralt i våra analyser och rådgivning till privata och professionella investerare. En forskningsrapport vi utarbetade över 14 år med data från Oslo Börs visade följande:

  • Aktier i stigande trend steg i snitt med 2,7 procent den följande månaden
  • Aktier i fallande trender föll i snitt med 1,1 procent den följande månaden.

Grundlaget for rapporten är 3747 signaler från aktier som gick in i en stigande trend och 2792 signaler från aktier som gick in i en fallande trend.

Trend är en enkel indikator att följa. Investtechs datamaskiner identifierar varje dag den kvalitetsmässigt bästa trenden för varje aktie. Aktier som ligger i stigande trender bör köpas och aktier som ligger i fallande trender bör säljas.

Avkastning etter trendsignaler
Utveckling för aktier som gick in i stigande respektive fallande trender från fem dagar före signalen till 22 dagar (en månad) efter signalen.
